Dear Mr. Krupski:
I am writing you as a follow up to the discussion I had
with the Board at last night's meeting concerning this
project. Our original project description is as follows:
Applicant proposes to 1) Break up the existing paved
parking lot, remove paving, to regrade parking lot
away from Great Harbor, to remove the existing
inoperable catch basin and collapsed drain line, to
replace catch basin and drain line and to resurface
parking lot with an oil and stone mixture. 2) To remove
existing malfunctioning sanitary systems for the
dwellings and to replace with new ring systems. 3) To
install new plumbing at store and install new septic
tank and pump chamber. 4) Abandon existing sanitary
system for office building and install a new septic
tank and pump chamber. 5) The effluent from the store
and office shall then be pumped into the same new
leaching field that is utilized by the dwellings2 6) To
remove the piles of fill which had been placed next to
the existing boat ramp by the previous owners, to
regrade area and revegetate with Rosa rugosa. 7) To

install new water service into the store. 8) To replace
the existing deteriorating piling underneath the office
building. 9) To replace/repair the decking at the
office building as necessary. 10) To reconstruct in
kind in place the existing docks.
Upon the Board's review, you had written back to us on
8/27/96 (copy enclosed) explaining that nine of ten items we
had applied for a permit were considered maintenance work and
a permit would not be required. We did however apply for a
Grandfather Permit to reconstruct the existing dock. On
4/15/98 (copy enclosed) we applied for approval to place +
60' of rock along the top of the existing rock slope which is
located in front of the office building.
Should you or any members of the Board of Trustees have
any further comments or questions concerning this matter,
please feel free to contact our office at any time.

The above referenced property was inspected as per your letter
of August 12, 1996.
The Board finds items 1-9 of your letter to be maintenance work
and does not require a permit at this time.
However, the dock would require a Grandfather Permit prior to
any repair of same.
