PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Applicant proposes to install +120' of rock revetment along eroded
shoreline for slope stabilizatTon. The revetment shall consist
of 2-4 ton boulders which shall be placed o~ filter cloth beginning
at +2' below grade, no gout shall be used, rock chips 1' thick
shaT1 be utilized to fill voids and any disturbed areas shall be

The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its re~alar meeting held on Wednesday, May 28, 1997
regarding the above matte~:
WHEREAS, J.M.O. Consulting on behatf of RICHARD A~ MIC~;E
DUPONT GOSS applied to the Southotd Town Trustees for a p~rmit
under the provisions of the Wetland Ordinance of the Town
Southold, application dated May 7, 1997, and,
WHEREAS, said application was referred to the Southo!d Town
Conservation Advisory Council fox their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held by the Town Trustees with
respect to said apulication on May 28, 1997, at which time all
interested persons were given an opportu~nity to be heard, and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimon!rand
documentation submitted, concerning this. application, and.,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set forth
Chapter 37-18 of the Southotd Town Code, ~
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, sa/cry and general welfaze of the
people of the town,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT,.
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees grant a Wetland Permit to
J.M.O. Consulting on behalf of RICHARD AND MICHELE DUPONT GOSS
to install 120+/-' of rock revetment along eroded shoreli.ne for
slope stabilization. The revetment shall consist of a 2-4 ton
boulders which shall be. placed, on filter cloth beginning at +2'
below grade, rock Chips 1' thick shall be utilized to fill voids
and. any disturbed areas shall be revegetated. All work shall be
inaccordance with surveyor Chandler, Palmer and King dated
November 11, 1994. Located Private Road,. Fishers Island, and,
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED that th~s determination should not be
considered a determination made for an~ other Department or
Agency which may also have an application pending for the same
or similar project.
Pezmit to construct project will expire two years fro~ the date
it is signed. Fees must be paid, if applicable, and permit
issued within six months of the date o~ this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.
