(Use autachments if necessary) Project Narrative: 3/16198 RE: Hanley Revetment Repair East End Road, Fishers Island, NY SCTM ID 1000-1-2-4 Repair and Resetting of Existing Revetment Mr. Hardey wishes to repair and reset both o~ the existing 640 foot north shore stone revetment and 420 fpot south shore stone revetment (see enclosed si}e plan). The existing revetment ~xperienced minor settling during a series of nor easter storms from Noven-~ber 1997 through March 1998. Mr. Hauler proposes to reset the existing boulders to-their original angle of 1:1.5 to 1:2 by adding a maximum of 3,000 tons of i Lo 3 ton stones along tt~e base of the north shore stone revetment and 2,500 tons of i to 3 ton stones along ±he base ofthe south, shore stone revetment. The plans are fine, except on the west end of the northern revetment, your plan shqws a concrete seawall west of the dwelling. As We discovered in the field on the 14th, this concrete seawall does not exist. Therefore, you should modify yom' plot plan to show this detail and supply a cross view plan for this detail. The cross view should show how the stone will be placed against the existing topography and proposed fill area. Upon receipt of four copies of these p!ans, we should be able to issue the permit.
