Dear Mr. Saetta::
The following action was taken by the Board of Town Trustees
during its regular meeting held on January 29, 1997 regarding
the above matter:
WHEREAS, Richard Saetta on behalf of JAMES GRACE, SR. applied to
the Southold Town Trustees for a permit under the provisions of
the Wetland Ordinance of the Town of Southold, application dated
November 25, 1996, and,
WHEREAS., said application was referred to the Southold Town
Conservation Advisory Council for their findings and
recommendations, and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held. by the Town' Trustees with.
respect to said appticatio~ onJ~ 29, 1997, at w~chtime
all interested persons were given an opportunit3~to be heardr
and,
WHEREAS, the Board members have personally viewed and are
familiar with the premises in question and the surrounding area,
and,
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all the testimony and.
documentation submitted concerning-this application, and,
WHEREAS, the structure complies with the standard set fortlx, in
Chapter 37-18 of the Southold Town Code,
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the project as proposed
will not affect the health, safety and general welfare of the.
people of the town,
NOW THEREFOP~EBE IT,
RESOLVED, that the Board of Trustees grant a Wetland Permit to
remove two existing houses, join the 2. lots an~ construct a 1
family dwelling as purposed on the survey dated January 24,
1997, and,
BE IT FURTHE~RESOLVF23that this determination should not be
considered a determination made for any other ~epartment or
Agency which may also have an application p~nding for the same
or similar project.
Permit to construct project will expire two years from the date
it is .signed. Fees must be paid, if applic~le, and permit
issued within six months of the date of this notification.
Two inspections are required and the Trustees are to be notified
upon completion of said project.

SOUTHOLD TOWN
CONSERVATION ADVISORY COUNCIL
At the Southold Town Conservation Advisory Council meeting held Friday,
December 13, 1996 the-fo!lowing recommendation was made:

Moved by Bruce Loucka, seconded by Scott Hilary, it was
RESOLVED to recommend to the Southold Town Board of Trustees
DISAPPROVAL of the Wetland Application of JAMES GRACE SR. 26-2-6 to
remove house from each of the two adjoining properties; join properties; build
one house. Needs approval for building envelope.
The CAC disapproves the application as submitted but would recommend
approval provided the new structure is no closer to the high water mark than
the closer of the existing structures.
