SAMUEL SINGER requests an Administrative Permit for a Ten (10) Year Maintenance Permit to
remove invasive species i.e., Russian Olives and Black Locusts which are growing along the
permitted deer fence area. Located: 44030 Route 25, Southold. SCTM#: 1000-75-6-6.1
The proposed action has been reviewed to Chapter 268, Waterfront Consistency Review of the
Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) Policy
Standards. Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department and the records available, I recommend that the proposal is
INCONSISTENT with LWRP Policies and with the LWRP provided, the following is considered.
1. Limit the clearing to specified invasive species. The proposal needs to be more
specific and give certain species as examples. The vegetation serves as a buffer to
the wetlands filtering out sediments and pollutants from runoff. Clearing should be
minimal. There are large trees located in the south of the parcel that provides
important buffering properties.

assessment is intended to supplement other information used by a Town of Southold agency in
