Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted m ~ to the Building Inspec-
tor with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic features.
" 2, Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal-(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building,
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:

2.Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.

hall have been granted by the Building Inspector.

LAMINATED COLUMNS - No. 1 or better southern yellow pine na~l leminated 3 member S4S colemns
used In Morton Buildings are pressure treated below grade to a retention of .8 pounds per cubic
foot with Chromated Copper Afsenate Type III, Oxide type, as listed in Federal Specification
TT-W-571J. The treated portion of the column embedded in ground shall be leminated with
stainless steel nails.
FOOTINGS AND ANCHORAGE - Column boles are dug 4 feet minimum depth below grade and readi-mix
concrete pads or dry concrete mix pads are poured tn place (note plans for size and type). A
1/2' galvanized steel rod Is placed 2S" from bottom of column. Additional concrete mix ts
poured around base of column then backftlled with dry dirt and compacted in 8" intervals.
SPLASHBOARDS - Splashboards are No. 2 or better southern yellow pine 2"x8" S2S and center
matched, pressure treated to a net retention of .4 pounds per cubic foot with Chromated Copper
Arsenate Type III, Oxide type, in accordance with American Wood Preservers' Association
Specification C2. One row is furnished for building on a level grade.
FRAMING LUMBER - Side nailers are 2"x4" S4S SPF standard or better spaced appreximately.30" o.c.,
wt~ all joints staggered at attachment to columns. Roof purlins are 2'!x4" S4S No. 2 SPF or
better on edge spaced apprexbmately 24' o.c. Ail other framing lomber ts standard grade or bette
ROOF TRUSSES - Facthry assembled with 18 or 20 gauge galvanized steel truss plates as required
a~ graded kiln dried lember as specified. Trusses are designed in accordance with current
standards and specifications for the stated loading.
BRACING - O.03§"xlY~" high tensile steel diagonal, X-bracing in all corners. Lateral trus~
ties and end bracing as needed.
ROOFING AND SIDING PANELS - 0.019" min., GgO zinc galvanized steel with an addttiona! baked-on
silicone finish. Color ts 1 mil thick on exterior.
TRIM - Die-formed trim of 0.019" mtn. steel with silicone finish on corners, gables, ridges,
and doors.
GUl-~ERS - 5" box type gutters, colors to match trim, on both sides of the building.
