This application must be filled in by typewriter OR ink and submitted to the building
inspector with the following: for new building or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines,
streets, and unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final Approval from Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage-disposal(S-9 form).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Sworn statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains
less than 2/10 of 1% lead.
5. Commercial building, ~dustrial building, multiple residences and similar buildings
and installations, a certificate of Code Compliance from architect or engineer
responsible for the building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requirements.
For existing buildings (prior to April 9, 1957) non-conforming uses, or buildings and
"pre-existing" land uses:
1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, building and
unusual natural or topographic features.
2. A properly completed application and a consent to inspect signed by the applicant.
If a Certificate of Occupancy is denied, the Building Inspector shall state the
reasons therefor in writing to the applicant.

sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until ~ Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.

MORTON BUILDINGS GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
LAMINATED COLUMNS - No, 1 or beeter southern yell ow pine nail laminated 3 member S48 columns
used in Morton Buildings are pressure treated below grade to a rebention of .8 pounds per cubic
foot with Chromated Copper Arsenate Type iii, Oxide type, as listed in Federal Specifi:ation
TT-W-S71J. The treated portion ~f the column embedded in ground shall be laminated with
stainless steel nails,
FOOTINGS AND ANCHOF~AGE - Column holes are dug 4 f6et min. depth below grade and ready-mix concrete
pads or dry con:rete mix pads are poured in place (note plans for size & type). A 1/2" galvanized
steel rod is placed 2-1/2" from b~t:om of column. Additional concrete mix is poured around base
of column then backfi~led ~i.th soil and compacted at 8" intervals.
SPLASHBOARDS - Splashboards are No. 2 or better southern yellow pine 2"x8" S28 and center matched,
preeeure treated to a net retention of .4 pounds per cubic foot with 3hrcmated Copper Arse[-te
Type III, Oxide ~ype, in accordance with American Wood Preservers' Association Specification C2.
One row is furnished for building on a level grade.
FRAMING LUMBER - Side nailers are 2"x ~" S48 SPY standard or better spaced approximagely 30"
~.C. with all joints staggered at attachmen~to columns, Roof purlins are 2"x4" S4S No. 2 SPF or
be_t~er on edge spaced approximately ~4" O.C. All. other framing l~mb£r is standard grade or better.
R'OOF TRUSSES - Factory assembled with ~8 or 20 gauge galvanized steel truss plates as required
a~d §caded kiln dried lumber as specified. In-plant quality control inspection is conducted
under the auspices of the TPI inspection bureau. Trusses are designed in accordance with current
standards and specifications for the stated loading.
BRACING - 0.035"x1-1/4" high tensile steel construction X-bracing in all unobstructed corners.
L~teral truss t~es and end bracing as needed.
SIDING PANELS - 0.019" min., 090 zinc galvanized steel with an additional baked-on silicone
finish. Color is 1 mil thick on exterior.
ROOFING PANELS {PLASTISOL) - 0.019" min., Ggo zinc galvanized steel, The top side of the panel
shall have a baked-on plastisol coat with a m~nimum paint thickness of 4 mils,
TRIM - Die-formed trim of 0.019" min., 090 galvanized steel on gables, ridges, corners, base,
windows and doors w~th same paint finish as roofing and siding panels,
GUTTERS ~ 5" box type gutters, color to match trim, on both sides of the building.
