DUCT WORK - Duct work to be installed to be free from vibration, and supported on maximum 8 ft. center. Duct joints shall be properly sealed 1 inch on each side of joints. 17. VOLUME DAMPER - Provide volume damper, or other approved air balancing device, with indicating and locking quadrant whether or not shown on drawings, at each form main duct, at each duct take-off, and at each neck to individual diffuser or register Jn supply, return or exhaust ducts. 18. ACCESS DOORS - Provide access doors as required for coils, filters, dampers, and other equipment that require periodic service. Doors shall be of the same material as the duct work, and constructed so as to minimize leakage. 19. HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM - Heating and air conditioning system shall be complete with all necessary components and items normally supplied. Substitutions of equipment shall be approved by the archit~ct/eng neet. System operational check-out, including demonstration to Owner. All appropriate operational and maintenance manuals shah be provided. 20. COMPLETION - At the completion of the work all qu~pment complete w th their fittings shall be properly cledhed and left in first class working condition. All duct work shall be left clean to prevent system distribution of dust and dirt. System shall be left with clean filters. ELECTRICAL l. GENERAL - Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, plant, tools, and services necessary and required for proper and complete installation of a 600 amp. electrical service from LILCO connection to building including all electrical systems and related work to include, but not limited fo,,wiring? lighting, services, feeders, distribution and protection equipment, 'connections of appliances, grounding, and including all connections and devices within the scope of the work as shown on the applicable drawings and as normally specified in this type of project. 2. CODES - AIl work shall conform fo the requirements of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention Building Code, New York State Conservation Construction Code, requirements of the Suffolk County Department of Health, and the National Electric Code N~'PA No. 70-1984 (NEC). 3. LOAD PANEL. B'OARD CENTERS - Load panelboard centers shall be plug-on type construction. All current carrylng parts of the bus assembly shall be plated. Terminals for feeder conductors to mains and branch neutral shall be UL listed as suitable for fha type conductor specified. The load center bus assembly shall be enclose~ in a steel cabinet. The size of the wiring gutters and gauge steel shall he in accordance with UL standards No. 67 and 50. Fronts shall include door and flush tumbler-type lock with all panels keyed alike. Panelbaard boxes and fronts shall have corrosion resisting phosphate treatment and baked enamel finish. 4. PANELBOARDS - Pane[boards shall be equipped with quick-make, quick-break, thermal~magnet trip lad]caf lng, and have common trip on all multipole breakers. Trip indications shall be clearly shown by the breaker handle taking position between ON and OFF when the breaker is tripped. Trip ratings as indicated on the plans. Breakers shall be plug-an type. Branch circuit breakers feeding convenience outlets shall have sensitive instantaneous trip settings of not more than 10 times the trip rating of the breaker to prevent repeated arcing shorts resulting from frayed appliance cord. 5. CIRCUIT BREAKERS - Single pole 15 and 20 dopers circuit breakers shall be UL listed as "Switching Breakers" at 120 V a.c. and carry the SWD markings. Circuit breakers shall be UL listed. Single pole breakers with handle ties not acceptable. 6. GROUND RODS - Ground rods shall be 5/8" x g' c~pper weld and meet oll requirements of the applicable provisions of the NEC. 7. RACEWAY - Raceway to be rigid or metal conduit or Schedule 40 PVC (where permitted by Code). 9. OUTLET BOXES - Outlet boxes dry concealed locations in wood frame construcflon to be PVC wall boxes installed in baseboard and nary] ceiling boxes. In exposed locations, use 4" square cast aIumlnum boxes and finished covers. 10. SWITCHES - Switches, pressure-sensltive type, 15 amp. 120/277 volt, back and side wired, Single pole, double pole, three-way dimmer, as required, Leviton or equal 11. DUPLEX RECEPTACLES - Provide r5 amp 125 volt back and side wired duplex receptacles on ail multi-receptacle 15 and 20 ampere circuits. Provide 20 amp 125 volt bock and side wired duplex receptacle on all single receptacle 20 ampere circuits. Groundfault circuit interruptlng - 20 amp 125 volt with indicator. 12. PLATES - Provide plates for all outlet boxes (receptacle, switch, telephone, blank or combination). Smooth plastic urea (ivory color) unless indicated otherwise. Multi-gang switches, receptacles, etc. shall be in a common, one-piece plate. 13. BATHROOM LIGHTING AND VENTING - Bathroom lighting and venting to be accomplished with the following type of fixtures.
