For many years the status of Nasseu ;'oint rights-of-wa~ has been a
priority subject. ~,any Assoczation ,~.~e.0bers have expressed strong
feelings on bot~ sides of this ~ssue.
E~ther than allo~' this to ,lc to ~gain do~,,znat~ the a~.unda at our
annual ~eetzng, the Board of Directors is providing ~ st, te,,~,nt of
uolicy reg=r~zng the rights-of-way.
There are ~,any r~ght~-of-w~ay on ~:assau "oint ~,ccording to the Suffol~
County tax maD. ~he Board bf Directors feels it ~ould not be
appro riate to designate Assr,elation monies to maintain these rights-
of-way. A recent estimate given to open a right-of-way and install
a set of ste~'s was '~,500. To o~en rights-of-way c,~uld necessitate
an expendzture of

This policy includes tb~ following provisos:

2. Each group will identify its members and designate a spokes-
~erson.
As the Nassau Point Property 0~'~ers Associatiop carries liability
insurance on these rights-of-way, each group wiLL:
a. Locate the right-of-way in question.
b. Supply a scale drawing of any proposed improvement.
c. State that any facility will be of sound construction.
d. Describe the work to be done to the right-of-way.
e. State that it is understood that the right-of-way will
be avazlable for all residents of Nassau Point.
f. Obtain shy required building permits from the to~;n
Southold m~d/or any permits from the Tow Board of
Trustees or any other State or Federal enviror_mental

sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing locatmn of lot and of buildings on premises, relahonshxp to adjoining premises or pubhc street
or areas, and giving a detailed descnptmn of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram whmh ~s part of this appl

c. The work covered by tins apphcatlon may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this appl,cahon, the Bmldmg Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such perm~
shall be kept on the premmes available for mspechon throughout the work.
e. No budding shaI1 be occupied or used in whole or m part for any purpose whatever untd a Certificate of Occupanc
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector
