Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted m~ to the Building Inspec-
tor w~th the following; for new buildings or new use'
1. F~nal survey of property w~th accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic features.
2. F~nal approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal-(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of elect,cai installation from Board of F~re Underwriters.
4. Commercml buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Remdences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certdicate of Code compliance from the Amhitect or Engineer responsible for the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For exmting buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of p:operty showing all property lines, streets, buddings and unusual natural or

Dear Mr. Horton:
Re: Building Permit # 15246 t
Enclosed please find building plans for Fishers Island House, properly
stamped by New York State Engineer, Joseph P. Green. I am sorry about the
misunderstanding.
I will send the corrected Site Plan to you as soon as it is ready. After
my meeting with the surveyors on Thursday, we discovered that the proposed
house has to be moved N/E 10.5 feet because of the contours of the property.
It will still remain well within the building setback lines.
During the excavatmon many large boulders were unearthed and the buried
foundation of the original house was disturbed. This changed the contours of
the slope and made zt necessary to move the house N/E 10.5 feet. However,
it will st~ll remain 10 feet wmthin the N.E. building setback line.
