Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted ~ ~ to the Building ~nspec~
tot with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic features.
2.Final approval of Health Oept. of water supply and sewerage disposal-(S-9 form or equal).
3.Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building,
5.Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.

PLAN FOR EXTENSION ON LUNDSTEDT PROPERTY AT MAIN ROAD, LAUREL
The extension will be 17.5 x 16.3 feet. It will be one
story high and adjacent to kitchen. It will be used as a "den".
Entry will be from the kitchen, and will be effectuated by
making the present window facing westward into a doorway. Addi-
tional ingress and egress will be from an 8 foot sliding glass
door on the southern wall.
The roof will be a reverse gable joined to the existing
kitchen roof with a peak approximately 4.5 feet high; peak will
face cast and west and slant to the north and south. There will
be one skyligh't built into the roof on the southerly slant. The
dimensions of the skylight will be 45" x 45".
The roof will be shingled with black shingles closely
approximating tb~ roof shingles on the existing structure.
EXTERIOR
The exterior will be boarded with outdoor plywood of 1/2
thickness, and then covered with white vinyl aluminum siding
same as the existing structure. Joists will be 2 x 8 , 16
inches apart, and the walls will be insulated with
insulation four inches thick, with an R factor of

The ceiling beams will be 2 x 6's, ~6 inches apart,
and there will be insulation in the "attic"

WINDOWS
The southerly side w~ll will have no windows per se,
but as previously mentioned, there will be an 8 foot sliding glass
door centered on this wall. The west wall will have no windows.
The northerly wall will have a double wlndoy and screens centered

FLOOR BEAMS
The floor beams will be 2 x 8's, 16 inches apart. Plywood
of 1/2 inch thickness will be used as subflooring, and will
be insulated with fibreglass insulation 6 inches thick with
an R factor of R- ~9. A triple (3) 2 x"8'girder will run
through the center of the floor, east and west.
