and Building Inspectorls Secretary, without any knowledge that a
Tiolation existed until so notified by the Building Inspector, who
olaims it Tiolates Artiole III Sec. 300 Sub 7.

REASON FOR APPEAL
Continued
1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce proctical difficulties or unneces-
sary KARDSHIP because
A. Major cost has a~ready been spent and hardest ~abor has
a~ready been done; as we~l as consuming major portion of
time allowed for project.
B. Building towards water wou~d partially obstruot our view
as wel~ as those of Lot 3 and 5.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shored by 011 properties alike in the immediate
vicinity of this prQPerty and in this use district because of /
A. yalue o~ Waterfront property. Waterfront property is much
more expensive than other properties because of the water
view. Thus to construct a Boat and Bike storage House to-
ward the water would affeot the view and value of Lots 3.4,5.
B. Land Use. Front Yard set back is 134i1. while Lot 3 is 60i'
and others about 35'.
C. Time Factor. Since my vacation ends August 30th. I must
finish building by then or go to the additiona~ expense and
inconvenience of paying for winter storage of boat.

3. The Variance wauld observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because
A. A~though Boat and Bike Storsge House is 51 from Side Lot Line
it still allows a 20' Side Yard space between it and the ex-
isting house. Since there is already a 15' Side Yard Space
on the other side of the existing house, there would be three
Side Yard Spaces - a $I. a 20' and a 151 - for a total of
40'; which provides more than ample room for equip'went to go t
through. ".r
B. Boat and Bike Storage House's front is 134'6" from Front Lot
Line, and is 5' in back of rear wall of neighbor's house,
and is 17!. 11" from nearest corner of his building.
C. Boat and Bike Storage House is only 7' high, and with neighborl
grade 3i' higher than ours, roof of Boat and Bike storage House
is 14f" below the exterior window sill of nei~bor's house.
D. Boat and Bike storage House in its present pos tion is in a
sort of blind spot, and therefore does the least to violate
the waterfront appearanc~-Y~w and vaJ.1te.,1)/,,
