REASON FOR APPEAL
{ ) A Variance to Section 280A Subsection 3
(×) A Variance to the Zoning Ordinance
( )
is requested for the reason that Gz~t~'~n Airor~£t Engineering Corpor~t±on reqa±re$ the
erection of a temporary Antenna Building, of prefabricated construction, 16' x 16'
x 9' high in the vicinity of the base of the Radar Tower already erected at the site.
We request an extention of one year of our present permit for
experimental purposes.
~orrn ZB! (Continue on other side)
REASON FOR APPEAL Continued
1. STRIC¥ APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulties or unneces-
sary HARDSHIP because it is imperative that new test equipment due at the site
be housed in a suitable structure to afford adequate protection from the ele-
ments. The s~all building described herein is available and can be assembled
rapidly for i~ediate use. There is not sufficient space in the Mobile Unit
already at the site in which to store the new test equipment.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shared by all properties alike in the immediate
vicinity of this property and in this use district because the topography of the site
prOvides an ideal location for continued operation of the project.
3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because it is a mobile scientific laboratory of
temporary nature.
