REASON FOR APPEAL
Continued
1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulties or unneces-
sary HARDSHIP because many of the lots in the surrounding area are u.nder-
sized and less than 11,200 sq. ft. The lots in question have been
held in single and separate ownership since 1909.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shared by all properties alike in the immediate
vicinity of this property and in this use district because the combined lots are land-
locked. They are bounded on the west by premises owned by Smith;
on the east by premises of Shedrick; on the south by premises of
Testa and Mack and on the north by Fljnt Street.
3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because many of the lots in the surroundj ng
area are as small or smaller than the above described lots. This
is due to the fact that the lots in thw area were sold according
to a map subdivided and filed in 1909.

Dear Mrs. Gloria.
In answer to your telephone request of this date, I
am writing to you in reference to the matter of access
over a road shown on the filed map of Greenport DriVing
Park and known as Flint street.
Subsequent to the application of Odell Smith for
approval of access, which was granted, and informal
meetings with the Board of Appeals on June 4, 1959 and
October 1, 1959 relative to the approval of access and
improvement of Flint street, a member of the Board of
Appeals inspected this road and the Board agreed that
with the improvements that were made the road was pa.~able
and suitable for access and no further action would be
required.
