is requested far the reasOn that the applicants now own two adjoining lots having a
frontage of 90 feet each. The Southerly ten feet of the southerly lot is
required by the adjoining property in order to prOTide a side yard of ten
feet for the dwelling on the adjoining property, which leaTes applicants
with one 80 foot lot and one 90 foot lot or a total of 170 feet.
Applicants seek a varianco to diTido lots into 2 85 foot lots.

REASON FOR APPEAL
Continued
1. STRICT APPLICATION OF THE ORDINANCE would produce proctical difficulties or unneces-
sary HARDSHIP because applicants would be required to construct one house
on a plot having a frontage of 170 feet when the area was planned for
houses on smaller plots.
2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shared by all properties alike in the immediate
vicinity of this property and in this use district because of the location of applicants
present house which is being so Id 'requires an additional ten-foot
side yard.
3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE
CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because the area consists of small residential
buildings including summer bungalows and houses on plots approximately
60 by 150 feet Applicants lots have a depth of 160 feot and con-
sequently two @foot lots would provide adequate square footage.

This map is not satisfactory for the purposes of the
Board of Appeals. We must have a correct survey and
legal description for each lot in question so that they
may be designated accurately in any action of the Board.
