Landscape Bids
• The Commissioners opened and discussed the bids received to maintain the grounds for
the 9 properties within the Mattituck Park District.
• The four bids received were 1) Cedarfields Landscaping, bid -$55,900.00, 2) Chris
Moore Landscaping, bid- $42,710.00 3) North Fork Landscaping, bid -$38, 709.00
4) Georgie's Landscaping, bid - $30,160.00.
• The Commissioners chose Georgies Landscaping, the lowest bidder.
• Georgie's provided certificate of workman's comp and civic and liability insurance
Locksmith Bid
• Only one bid was received for lock replacement at Veteran's Park, Aldrich Lane and
Breakwater beach.
• C Shashkin looked at Home Depot per N Deegan's suggestion, but Home Depot does
not sell commercial grade locks, only residential locks
• C Shashkin is concerned that a residential lock will not meet the needs of the park and a
commercial lock will hold up longer considering the amount of use
• K Byrne noted that changing the bathroom locks at Vets is crucial as the current locks do
not open from the inside and are very dangerous.
• The Commissioners agreed to install 2 locks at Vets initially and revisit installing locks at
the other locations at a future date.
