LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING
Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held
Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
This Regular Meeting was held via the Zoom online platform.
The public had access to view and listen to the meeting as it was happening via Zoom. If no access to a
computer or smartphone, there was an option to listen in via telephone.
Comments from the public may not be solicited nor received without an appointment. It is expected that the
Committee will enter into Executive Session* at some point after opening the Regular Meeting for the purpose
of discussing applications regarding proposed acquisitions of real property where publicity would substantially
affect the value thereof. The public is not allowed to attend, view, or listen to Executive Session.

Next LPC meeting date is scheduled for Tuesday, November 22, 2022 and will be held via the Zoom

Update re: Oct. 25 @ 2:00 P.M. Code Committee Meeting:
Topic: Proposed Code Amendments to Chapter 70 with Representatives of the Agricultural
Advisory Committee and Land Preservation Committee
Sam gave overview and noted that his takeaway was that most in attendance were in agreement
that processing and retailing on PDR lands should be allowed with limits, and that the Town
Board was going to start with review of processing.
Anne noted that she did not agree, and had concerns regarding allowing processing and direct
marketing and parking. She noted that she did not feel that the public would support allowing
processing and direct marketing on preserved lands.

MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, regarding Project 2022-5A:

On July 11, 2022 the Town extended a purchase offer for a development rights easement acquisition on a
certain parcel of land known as Project 2022-5A, with a 30-day timeframe. The applicant has requested a
second extension of time to review the purchase offer. The Land Preservation Committee hereby extends the
purchase offer for Project 2022-5A until November 11, 2022.
