HomeMy WebLinkAboutLP-08/16/2022 LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. This Regular Meeting was held via the Zoom online platform. The public had access to view and listen to the meeting as it was happening via Zoom. If no access to a computer or smartphone, there was an option to listen in via telephone. Comments from the public may not be solicited nor received without an appointment. It is expected that the Committee will enter into Executive Session* at some point after opening the Regular Meeting for the purpose of discussing applications regarding proposed acquisitions of real property where publicity would substantially affect the value thereof. The public is not allowed to attend, view, or listen to Executive Session. Committee Minutes and Administration Acceptance of meeting minutes: July 26, 2022 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by John Simicich, to accept the 7/26/2022 LPC meeting minutes. Motion carried: 4/0 with 1 abstention (WL) Next LPC meeting date is scheduled for Tuesday, August 30, 2022 and will be held via the Zoom online platform. Motion carried: 5/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 8:05 p.m. Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications - OPEN SESSION MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by John Simicich regarding Project 2022-6A: On July 13, 2022 the Town extended a purchase offer for a certain parcel of land known as Project 2022-6A, purchase offer for Project 2022-6A for an additional 30 days, expiring on September, 12, 2022. MOTION carried: 5/0 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by John Simicich regarding Project 2022-5A: On July 11, 2022 the Town extended a purchase offer for a development rights easement acquisition on a certain parcel of land known as Project 2022-5A, with a 30 day timeframe. The applicant has requested Page 2 of 3 additional time to review the purchase offer. The Land Preservation Committee hereby extends the timeframe offer for Project 2022-5A until August 31, 2022. MOTION carried: 5/0 Adjournment: MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by John Simicich, to adjourn the meeting.
