THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS REQUESTED BECAUSE we would like to continue tG
maintain a directional sign to our place of business on this corner as we
have in the past, especially during the SUDIl1ler months when summer residents
and visitors <,orne into New Suffolk from the west, via New Suffolk Avenue.
One of the problems in our business is our "off the beaten track location, n
and we depend strongly on road signs to di.rect customers to us.

As per our telephone conversation this morning I am enclosing
partia1y filled out application forms for your directional sign at
Fifth &: Main st, New ~utrolk.
These should be completed and submitted with a letter of consent
from the property O1IJ1er - our records show it to be J.B.Roache Istate.
The fee for a special exception is being reduced from 8 1,.00
to S ,.00 which will I hope be effective within another week or so, an
application pending before the board will cover you in any event.
I am trying to get the Town Board to go look at your lot
W/S New Suftolk Lane which is up for change of zone, hope to get some
action on it by next tuesday.
