This is in reference to the application for a building permit to replace the existing rear,
second floor deck at the noted property. The project is planned as an"in kind"
replacement and has been approved by the Southold Town Board of Trustees. The
Trustees have issued Permit#9939A dated 7-14-2021.
On August 26, 20211 surveyed the property to establish the elevations of the grade level
outdoor patio and the second floor deck. The results are as follows:
Grade Level Patio— Elevation is confirmed above 10.0 (NAVD88 Datum)

Inspection—Footing—Pier-Existing
On May 26, 2021, I inspected the existing deck conditions at the noted location. The
inspection covered the footings for the proposed replacement of the existing deck
structure. The areas inspected included the existing footings of the existing deck.
The inspection results are:
Items inspected included footing depth, size and position.
The footings were found to be functioning as designed, compliant with the codes and
capable of being used for the deck replacement. The deck is being replaced in-kind and
the footings will function in the same manner as currently designed and used.
Result—Based upon inspection of this project and to the best of my knowledge, belief
and professional judgment, the existing footings are adequate for use with the deck
replacement.

staircase. Overall deck dimensions will be 26' 9 "/2" wide by 21' 7" deep with a 26sq.ft.

with a wood railing system that completely encloses the deck area.
Findings: The project meets all the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code. The issuance of an
Administrative Permit allows for the operations as indicated on the site plan prepared by
N.J. Mazzaferro, P.F., received on June 11, 2021 and stamped approved on July 1A,
2021.
Special Conditions: None.
Inspections: Final Inspection.
if the proposed activities do not meet the requirements for issuance of an Administrative
Permit set forth in Chapter 275 of the Southold Town Code, a Wetland Permit will be
required.
This is not a determination from any other agency.

Mazzaferro's report.on the footings for the replacement deck.
The contractor has also added additional metal straps to the
posts, and the required handrails for the two stairs. I believe this
completes the changes requested in the inspection report of
9/9/2022. Please feel free to stop by and review the work
whenever it's convenient.
