(Continue on other side) REASON FOR APPEAL Continued 1. STRICT APPLICATION O1= THE ORDINANCE would produce practical difficulties or unneces- sary HARDSHIP because it would impair the view of the ocean from this waterfront property and devaluate the land value. Also, garage structure would be too close to the water and danger of flooding and related damage is increased. 2. The hardship created is UNIQUE and is not shared by all properties alike in the immediate vicinity of this property and in this use district because other properties do not have the same r~el~ation to th~ ocean 3. The Variance would observe the spirit of the Ordinance and WOULD NOT CHANGE THE CHARACTER OF THE DISTRICT because the district is one where summer houses with uninterrupted views predominate. The proposed plot plan is not unusual. It should be noted that both garage and house are set back some 100 feet for esthetic reasons.
