Activities of the Board/Accomplishments: Land Use Training Seminar II: Trustees and Zoning _On October 26, 2022 the members of the Board of Appeals and the ZBA staff, Southold Town Trustees and staff, and Planning Board members, and Planning Department personnel attended the second of four Town Board approved land use training seminars in partial fulfillment of their required annual training. Several members of other land use boards, committees and departments also attended as invitees either in person in the Meeting Hall or via Zoom. The seminar went on for more than 2 hours of presentations and engaged discussion, questions, and answers. Special thanks to ZBA staff Kim Fuentes, Elizabeth Sakarellos and Donna Westermann who ably managed the complexities of screen sharing and Zoom participation. I am currently working on setting up the third seminar with the Land Preservation Department, Land Preservation Committee and the Conservation Advisory Committee.
