BOX 728 Southold, N.Y. 11971 RE: 469 L 09304 Roy Taplin vs. Skippers Restaurant Bate of Loss: June 20th, 1981 As a follow up to my conversation with your department of March 16th, 1982, kindly forward to my attention a copy of the Housing Code with regard to ordinances for railings, page 5216, - relating to the above captioned claim. Briefly, on the above indicated date, Mr. Roy Taplin slipped and fell from the decking in front of our insured's premises, Skippers Restaurant. Our investigation indicated that there were three steps leading up to the deck. At this time I would like to determine if railings are re- quired for such a structure.
