They indicate the extent of the existing cottages we own on Soundview Avenue, and the proposed second floor additions. The two cottages exist on one lot as is shown on the print of our survey. The new construction will not come any closer to the property lines than the existing buildings. As I explained during our telephone conversation, I am reluctant to pursue this matter further without some indication that our proposed addition will be acceptable to the Building Department. You said that you would be able to review these sketches and send a letter to me stating whether or not our proposal is approvable. If it is, we would develop detailed drawings and submit them to you for formal approval and Building Permit. First of all, you already have an application for a permit to add second story and connect two buildings st 21975 - 21995 - Co. Tax Map #135-01-011. Also this matter is now before the Zoning Board of Appeals, who presently are in correspondence with you. Your latest application shows connection of the two dwellings with breezeway. Please advise if you plan to withdraw your first application for two story addition, if so, then withdrawl of application before the Zoning Board would be in order. We are returning application for breezeway addition for the following reasons. Applications are copies, we require one original. Also required are plans showing more details of construction of deck connection and breezeway. Regarding dwelling at 21925 Soundview Avenue, your application for permit is being disapproved for the following reasons. Proposed addition to deck reduces side yard dimension to 8'0". Total side yard requirements are 26' - 3", it would appear from your copy of survey, dated 8/19/71, total side yards are now less than required. Also, construction of deck into rear yard area is within 75 feet of tidal waters and approval from the Department of Environmental Conservation would be needed. The alteration of the interior of dwelling is subject to plan review which you have not included with your application. This should include cross sectional drawings where any changes are being made.
