Re: Cutchogue Landfill

Engineering Services Proposal
Dear Mr.Bunchuck:
As requested by Assistant Town Attorney Lori Hulse Montefusco, Esq. I have modified my February 18,
2005 proposal letter to conduct the groundwater monitoring well sampling program for the Town of
Southold at the Sanitary Landfill located on Middle Road (CR 48). The engineering services include the
quarterly sampling, laboratory analytical'services and reports for groundwater monitoring well locations
for a two year period(2005—2006).
At the end of calendar year 2006, the Town reserves the option to extend the contract for two years,
through 2008 at the quoted rates. The quantity of samplings in years 2007 and 2008 may be reduced at
the discretion of the Town. 'The Town will be responsible for payment of only those samplings actually
completed.
In addition,we agree to provide outside data validation during the baseline quarterly sampling round at an
additional cost of$1,500 per year. Should this proposal and our original proposal dated January 10, 2005
be acceptable to the Town, please sign below and return a signed copy of the proposal to our office. We
look forward to providing our landfill monitoring'program services to the Town and if any questions arise
please contact our office at(631)756-8000 Ext. 1610.
Very truly yours,
