In a ruling dated Jut~ 16, 1980, the Building Department of the Toga of Southold cited rio!etlon of the following sections of the State Building Construction Code applicable to One and Two- Family Dwellings: 9 NYCRR 615.1 9 NYCRR 615.2 (10-31-72) (Code Section A206-1) (10-31-72) (Code Section A206-2) A heating'was held on September 30, 1980, at the 60th Floor Conference Room, Two World Trade Center, New York, New York. At the hearing, the Applicant stated that if the Board of Review granted a variance in this case he would agree to provide the following atterngive: In addition to the Code-required single station smoke detector, provide a single station smoke detector in the master bedroom. The Board concludes that the fact that the bottom of the window openings are only 1 foot above ~he floor level and 2'-6" above grade, would not significantly impede emergency egress in ~ this cas?, and would prgvide safety to occupants on condition tha~ the Applzcant§ alternatzve were provided.
