The monitoring program was conducted on Junel5, 2007 for the fifteen(15) gas monitoring wells at the southwest, south and southeast perimeter of the landfill. Figure 1 is provided which indicates the location of the gas monitoring wells at the landfill. The field program included the measurement of oxygen and combustible gases for each of the wells as required by NYSDEC. The 112M personnel utilized an MSA Orion Multi-gas Detector to monitor for oxygen and combustible gas (percent of lower explosive limit [LEL]) from the sampling ports of the gas monitoring wells. The following table summarizes-the.findings of-the-June 15,2007 gas monitoring program: Percent Gas Probe LEL Percent Oxygen GMW-1 0 20.2 .GMW-2 0 17.9 GMW-3 0 20.9 GMW-4 0 20.3 GMW-5 0 20.3 GMW-6 100+ 2.5 GMW-7 0 18.5 GMW-'8 0 16.2 GMW-9 0 19.4 GMW-10 0 20.9 GMW-11. 100+ 1.0 GMW-12 0 16.9 GMW-13 3 15.0 GMW-14 1 16.9 GMW-15, . _ . ;., 0 17.9 ENGINEERS \ ARCHITECTS ► SCIENTISTS ► PLANNERS ► SURVEYORS P I 1H2MGROU P James Bunchuck June 20,2007 Page 2 The results indicate that there is currently a threat of combustible gas migrating beyond the boundary of the landfill in the vicinity of GMW-6 and GMW-11 located in the southeast and east portions of the landfill. The next quarterly round of monitoring is expected to be conducted during September 2007. If any questions arise concerning the gas monitoring program, please contact the undersigned at (63 1) 756-8000 Ext. 1484. Very truly yours, HOLZMACHER,MCLENDON&MURRELL,P.C.
