Gas Well Monitoring Program

Dear ylx.Bunchuck:
As detailed in our letter proposal dated May 23, 2006 our office conducted a round of monitoring for the
methane gas well monitoring program for the, Town.of Southold Sanitary Landfill located on Middle
Road (CR 48) in Cutchogue. The monitoring program was conducted on December 5, 2006 for the
fifteen (15) gas monitoring wells at the southwest, south and Figure 1
is provided which indicates the location of the gas monitokel hla df hprogram
included the measurement of oxygen and combustible g uired by
NYSDEC.
DEC 2 1 2006The H2M personnel utilized an MSA Orion Multi-gas Dete onitor_for oxygen a d co bustible
gas (percent of lower explosive limit [LEL]) from the samp g ng lls.' The
following table summarizes the findings of the'December;5, 06!gas T 1101`0

The.results indicate that there is currently no threat of combustible gas migrating beyond the boundary of
the IandfilL. .The next quarterly round of monitoring is expected to be conducted duririg'March.2007. If
