This application must be filled in by typewriter OR ink and submitted to the building
inspector with the following: for new building or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property li~es,
streets, and unusual natural or topographic features.
2. Final Approval from Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage-disposal(S-9 form).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Sworn statement from plumber certifying that the solder used in system contains
less than 2/10 of 1% lead.
5. Commercial building, industrial building, multiple residences and similar buildir
and installations, a certificate of Code Compliance from architect or engineer
responsible for the building.
6. Submit Planning Board Approval of completed site plan requirements.

Compliance with the N.Y. State Energy Code
Northeastern Log Homes, Inc. is a manufacturer of precut log
homes, with sales and production headquarters in Kenduskeag,
Maine.
Northeastern Log Homes, Inc. has engaged Steven Winter Associ-
ates, Inc. to analyze the thermal transmittance characteristics
of their buildings, in order to ensure compliance with the
NY State Energy Conservation Construction Code (1978).
Steven Winter Associates, Inc. has completed its analysis and
evaluation of the attached model for compliance with this code
for location in the county of Suffolk , NY with 6000
degree day climate conditions. This model has thermal trans-
mittance values lower than those deemed maximum acceptable in
section E.402.1 of the above code, as shown in the attached
heat loss calculations and indicated on the plans submitted.

After investigation and inspection the Board finds that the
applicants wish to construct a garage in their legal front yard
area due to the fact their property is on Jockey Creek. Their
house which they are constructing is placed approximately in the
center of the lot. The garage will be 24 feet by 24 feet and will
be built ahead of the house and to the side. The Board agrees
with the reasoning of the applicant.
The Board finds that strict application of the Ordinance would
produce practical difficulties or unnecessary hardship; the hardship
created is unique and would not ~be shared by all properties alike
in the immediate vicinity of the property and in the same use district;
and the variance will not change the character of the neighborhood
and will observe the spirit of the Ordinance.
On motion by Mr. Grigonis, seconded by Mr. Tuthill, it was
RESOLVED, that Richard and Susan Greene, Glenn Road, Southold, New
York, be GRANTED permission to erect a garage in the front yard area.
Location of property: Right-of-way off Oaklawn Avsnue, Southold, New
