APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in duplicate to the Building Inspec-
tor with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic featu res.
2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal-(S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
1. Accurate survey of peoperty showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or
topographic featu res.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.
3. Date of any housing code or safety inspection of buildings or premises, or other pertinent informa-
tion required to prepare a certificate.

SQUARE POSTS - No. 2 or better southern yellow pine 6"x6" square posts used in Morton
Buildings are pressure treated with pentachiorophenol in P9 oi! to a net retention of
.5 pounds of pentachlorophenol per cubic foot of wood.
~NCHORED IN CONCRETE - Post holes are dug 4 feet deep, 45 pounds of concrete mix is
poured into the hole. A ~" x 9" rod is placed through the post 2" from the bottom. An
additional 45 pounds of concrete mix is poured around the base of the post.
SPLASHBOARDS - Splashboards are No. 2 and better southern yellow pine 2"x8" S2S and
center matched, pressure treated with pentachlorophenol to .3 pounds"retention. One
row is furnished for buildings on a level grade.
ROOF TRUSSES - Factory assembled with 18 or 20 gauge steel truss plates as required.
Trusses are designed by a registered professional engineer for roof loads :s required
by local conditions and building codes.
BBqCING - Knee braces at each truss-column connection. 0.035"x15" high tensile stee!
diagonal, X-bracing in a!1 corners. Latera~ truss ties as needed.
ROOFING AND SIDING PANELS - 0.019" min., Ggo zinc galvanized steel with an additlonal
baked-on silicone finish. Color is 1 mil thick on exterior.
TRIM - Die-formed trim of 0.019" min. stee! with silicone finish on corners, gables,
ridges, and doors.
GUTTERS - 5" box type gutters, colors to match trim, on both sides of the building.
OVERHEAD DOORS - Aluminum frames with sectional panels of translucent fiberglass.
~KYLITES - 38"x7'1" panels of 8 oz. translucent green fiberglass or 6 oz. translucent
white fiberglass with Tedlar formed into same pattern as roofing and siding panels.
HEATING, PLUMBING, VENTILATION, AND ELECTRICAL WORK - By others, not part of these plans

MORTON BUILDINGS, INC., warrants bui!dings which i% erects as follows:
For a period of 40 years to absorb repair or replacement costs, includ!ng mater!a! and
labor, if any preservative treated ~imber co!umns fail due to decay or insect at%ack.
For a period of 10 years to repaint or replace free of charge any roof or side panels on
which the paint has separated from the panel due to cracking, peeling or checking.
For a period of 5 years to repaint or replace free of charge any roof or side panels on
whlch under conditicns of nome! weathering: Cha!king has occurred in excess of 8 ur|its
on s!de paneIs and 6 units on roof panels (ASTM D659). Fading has occurred in excess
of 6 NBS units. Corrosion due to acid rain has resuited in red rust.
For a period of 5 years to repair free of charge any roof leaks due to defects in
ma!erie! or workmanship, except those occurring where the building is connected to an
adjoining structure.
For a period of five years to repair, or in i%s discretion, to rep!ace free cf charge

INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
