before you start:
1. Read the Instruction Manual and study the Illustrations Carefully. Note the location of the parts and how they
are positioned and fastened. Remove the parts and lay them out in Similar Groups with the Part Numbers Facing Up;
this will help you become famihar with most of the parts on sight.
2. CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ALL PARTS, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ASSEMBLE YOUR BUILDING IF PARTS ARE MISSING!
The parts Catalog and Check List is located on the following page, plus a Pictorial Diagram. Part numbers are
generally affixed to each part, by a small printed number. , . but ~f missLng, the part can be readily identified
from the illustration.

4. Before beginning construction, prepare a s~te for your building. Choqse an area that is firm and level, yet allows
- water to flow away from the building (SEE anchoring procedure PAGE 3,)
5. The following items will be needed for preparing a foundation: measmieg tape, hammer, saw, nails, level,
wooden stakes, string, lumber and shovel.
To assemble the building, use a 6" phillips
head screwdriver with a no. 2 tip (a magnetic
type is especially helpful.) in some cases an
awl (for aligning holes if necessary) a pa~r of
pliers, work gloves, step ladder and a drill
for anchormg to foundation.

Anchoring P oce ur®:
Your storage building MUST BE ANCHORED to prevent wind damage. The use of an 'AK4-H ANCHORING
KIT" is an effective method to securely anchor the building to the ground. An Anch~)r K is available at
your retail store or it may be ordered directly from the factory. The address can be found on PAGE 1.

3. The center of the foundation may be filled with sand,
gravel or concrete.
Note: For a codcrete footing type base, ~A" dia. holes have
been prowd, ed in the floor frames for anchoring purposes.

1. prepare bullding site. (SEE PAGE 3).
2. Position FLOOR FRAMES and fasten at each corner
using 2 assembly screws.
3o Before proceeding be sure the foundation frame
is perfectly "SOUARE" at each corner and properly
posihoned on your building site.

1. Install the 4 CORNER PANELS, using 2 assembly
screws w~th plastic washers at the bottom of each
panel. PANELS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE. NOTE

two assembly screws and washers in each corner.

assembly screws and botts used to fasten panels. TO use
washers {supphed in flat, pupched plastic sheets simply
place the entire sheet dqwn, allgr~ a washer with a ho e n
the panel, insert screw end tighten firmly end squarely
aga*nst the washer and the panel. Then pull sheet away.

and 2 additional Side Wall Channels part No. 0058, positron
side wall angle on side wall channel, align holes, and fasten
from each end with a screw. MAKE TWO ASSEMBLIES.
