Instructions
A. This application must be filled in typewriter OR ink, and submitted in duplicate to the Building Inspec-
tor with the following; for new buildings or new use:
1. Final survey of property with accurate location of all buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual
natural or topographic features.
2. Fina~ approva~ of Health Dept. of water supp)y and sewerage disposal-{S-9 form or equal).
3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters.
4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installa-
tions, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building.
5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable.
B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing"
land uses:
I. Accurate survey of peoparty showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or
topographic features.
2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings.

Gentlemen:
I refer to the enclosed form received by me on February 11, 1983 stating
that there is an alleged violation in regard to the height of a fence enclosing
my pool. Since the pool was installed and completed during the month of
June, 1982 and since a permit was filed for at that time with the building
department, I can flatly state that your department did not exercise due
diligence by inspecting a completed and landscaped pool eight months later
in 14° temperatures with snow on the ground and then issuing a fourteen
day period to cure.
For your information, the fence is standard 48" chain link and it all came
from the same roll. Perhaps the ground has risen slightly due to the fact
that it is frozen solid. Perhaps more dirt than was necessary was placed
there by the gardener, but I doubt that he would feel obligated to chisel it out
or the fence contractor would feel obligated to raise the fence t~vo inches at
this point.
In any event having measured it myself, I find that it may be two inches off at
points, but because of the frozen dirt,, ice and the surrounding grass it is most
difficult to determine. Ail work was contracted for within the rules, a 48"
fence was purchased and installed as 48". Piad you been available last sun, met
you would have been able to determine that the tax department found the time
to tax me as of June 1, 1982 even before completion.

c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
