The living-dining area originally was to be a tlJe floor, but has been changed to a woad-fin[sh floor. We wanted a perfectly rigid floor in this area and admittedly over-designed it. We are changing the 2" x 12" joists to 2" x 8" joists at 16" o.c. which will sustain a live load well above requirements. 2. For economy reasons, the thickness of foundation walls have been reduced to 8". The steel girders (W 8 x 13) are to be changed ta (3) 2" x 10" wood. A 3 1/2" lally column w[lI be added at lower stair platform of Basement #2. Roof rafters will be reduced from 2" × 12" to 2" x 10" #18.F for economy reasons. The 2" x 10" at 16" centers are still more than adequate for the spans involved. Rafters will be doubled up at skylights. Enclosed is part foundation pJan showing some of these changes.
