INSTRUCTIONS
a. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted to the Building Inspector, with 3
sets of plans, accurate plot plan to scale. Fee according to schedule.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this appli-
cation.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issued a Building Permit to the applicant. Such permit
shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughout the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and other applicable Laws~ Ordinances or

MORTON BUILDINGS GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
LAMINATED COLUMNS - Columns are No. 1 or better southern yellow pine nail laminated 3 ~ember
S6S columns nailed 8" o.c. staggered on each side with 4" nails,
ANCHORED ON CONCRETE WALL - Columns are attached to concrete wall by use of 1/4" R,R. steel
column sockets. Each socket is fastened to concrete wall by two l/2"x4-1/4" concrete wedge
anchors and column is fastened to socket by four 1/2"×2-1/2" lag screws and four 20d R,S.' nails
£PLASHBOARDg - Splashboards are No, 2 or better southern yellow pine 2"x8" S25 and center matched,
pressure treated to a net retention of .4 pounds per cubic foot with Chromated Copper Arsenate
Type III, Oxide type, in accordance with American Wood Preservers' Association Specification C2.
One row is furnished for building on a level grade.
FRAMING LUMBER - Side nailers are 2"x4" S45 SPF 2100 MSR spaced approximately 30" O.C. with all
joints staggered at attachment to columns. Roof purlins are 2"x4" $45 No. 2 SPF or better on
edge spaced approximately 20" O,C. All other framing lumber 1s standard grade or better.
ROOF TRUSSES - Factory assembled with 18 or 20 gauge galvanized steel truss plates as required
and graded kiln dried lumber as specified. In-plant quality control i~spection is conducted
under the
standards
BRACING -
auspices of the TPI inspection bureau. Trusses are designed in accordance with current
and specifications for the stated loading,
0.035"x1-1/4" high tensile steel construction X-bracing in all unobstructed corners.

windows and doors with same paint f~nish as roofing and siding panels.
GUTTERS - 5" box type gutters, color to match trim, on both sides of ~lle building,
