THIS IS TO CERTIFY THAT THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION WAS ADOPTED BY THE
SOUTHOLD TOWN BOARD AT A REGULAR MEETING FI~-~ n ON MAY 3. I994:
RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Southold hereby adopts
the following policy:
POLICY TO MAINTAIN ROUTE 48 LARGELY AS AN EXPR~qS ROUTE
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to maintain an efficient an.d attractive
transportation network that will benefit Southold Town residents, and
visitors for many years; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that it is the policy of the Town Board to maintain County Route'
48 largely as an express route to expedite the movement 'of large numbers
of vehicles through the Town in a safe and ef~cient manner and
an area with attractive landscapes.
