1. SPECIAL EXCEPTION. By resolution of the Board it was determined that a special exception

Ordinance would not be observed, therefore be it RESOLVED that William
B. Beebe be denied permission to erect commercial advertising sign.
The Board finds from its own knowledge that the proposed location
of this sign is not on the filed subdivision, Moose Cove, filed in
1960, but as stated in the application is on meadow land which is
presently zoned residential-agricultural. It is against the Zoning
Ordinance to permit a business sign in a residential area, as this is
not a real estate sign for the sale of lots or acreage, it is simply
a sign advertising Mr. Beebe's building business.
This Board may not accord a right to one that is denied to every-
one else. * * *
2. VARIANCE. By resolution of the Board it was determined that

This is meadow land and unsuitable for residential purposes.
The sign will advertize my business - contactor & builder-
with address of shop and office. A sketch of proposed sign is attached
to this application.
This property is part of the parcel bought and filed as a
Subdivision Named "Moose Cove"~ in 1960.

c. The work cowered by this application may not be commenced before issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a ,Building Permit to the applicant. Such
permit shall be kept on the premises available for inspection throughouf the progress of the work.
e. No building shall be occupied or used in whole or in p art for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been granted by the Building Inspector.

Enclosed please find the action of the Board of Appeals
on your recent application for a sign.~
Also enclosed please find a copy of your application and a copy
of the Boards action as you requested by'telephone thia morning.
I have mad~ a search of the records and so far have not found
where the Town Board refunded your $ 25 fee for the change of zone
application of September 19%7. I did find where they refunded a fee
of ~ 1~. on your appeal # ~l, Feb %, 19%8 for the Cutchogue Methodist
church.
We will continue to check this $2~. fee tomorrow and if we find
where it has been refunded will let you know.
