hereby apply to THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS far a SPECIAL EXCEPTION in accordance
with the ZONING ORDINANCE ARTICLE IV SECTION 408
SUBSECTION
THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS REQUESTED BECAUSE I wish to erect and maintain
two panel type signs, one on each street front advertizing plants,
shrubs, nursery items and garden center items. The proposed signs
are aproximately 30inches wide and 34 inches high - to be mounted on
a wooden post.
The permitted signs in a "B" district have been used as follows:
a standard ,,~~SSO" oval pole sign on the north ,lest corner of the premises
and two wall signs on the building that cover both the garden center
and service center.
The additional signs would be for the gardencenter with changable
panels so that items in season etc could be advertized.
Additional information will be supplied to the Board upon request.

o. This application must be completely filled in by typewriter or in ink and submitted in duplicate to the Building
Inspector.
b. Plot plan showing location of lot and of buildings on premises, relationship to adjoining premises or public streets
or areas, and giving a detailed description of layout of property must be drawn on the diagram which is part of this location.
c. The work covered by this application may not be commenced be.tore issuance of Building Permit.
d. Upon approval of this application, the Building Inspector will issue a Building Permit to the applicant. Such
permit shall be kept on the premises avaHable for inspection throughout the progress of the work.
e. No building sholl be occupied or used in whole. or in part for any purpose whatever until a Certificate of Occupancy
shall have been gronted by the Building Inspector.
APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE to the Building Department for the issuance of a Building Permit pursuant to the
Building Zone Ordinance of the. Town of Southold, Suffolk County, New York, and ather applicable Laws, Ordinances or
