address the Town Board relating to agenda resolutions prior to their enactment; the public will
also be given time at the conclusion of the regularly scheduled business agenda to address the
Board on any given topic.

V. RESOLUTIONS
Special Note: At the start of the Town Board Meeting the Supervisor will invite the public to
speak on the following resolutions.
326. Authorize modification to the Fishers Island Ferry District 2003 budget.
327. Authorize expenditure not to exceed $450 for expenses for the New York State Department
of Motor Vehicles to travel to Fishers Island to renew licenses for residents.

329. Authorize the refund of a Planning Board application fee to Joseph Lebkuecher for a minor
subdivision that was denied due to the temporary moratorium.
330. Authorize modification to the General Fund Part Town 2003 budget for employee training.
331. Grant permission to Efeyenia Matsis to locate a temporary one family house trailer on her
property during the reconstruction of her dwelling after damages fi:om broken water pipes.
332. Promote Richard Mellas at the Southold Town Highway Department to Heavy Equipment
Operator.
333. Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget to reduce the
amount needed to borrow for the Waterways Improvement Project.

Authorize and direct that the beach attendants and managers to be supplied with a petty
cash fund in the amount of $40, and that free beach parking permits be issued to water
safety instructors, beach attendants, lifeguards, beach managers and Recreation Supervisor
Ken Reeves.

Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to re-advertise for bids for the Type II Micro-
surfacing road surface treatment and Nova Chip Ultra-thin Surfacing Course.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute an Agreement with the Family Service
League and the County of Suffolk.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Joshua Horton and Deputy Supervisor Martin Sidor tO sign
signature cards for the Town of Southold Consortium Home Improvement Program (CH~P)
at Citibank.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to execute all necessary documents in connection
with the final application to the US Department of Transportation, FAA, for improvements
at Fishers Island Elizabeth Field.
Designate the Daniel E. Terry House (or Paul Diefenbacher House), 54800 Main Road,
Southold, as a Southold Town Landmark.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign grant applications for the Environmental
Protection Fund and Clean Water/Clean Air Bond Act.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to sign grant applications for NYS Office of Parks,
Recreation and Historic Preservation funding.
Approve a six-month medical leave of absence for a part-time Senior Citizen Aide II.
Declare certain vehicles as surplus and authorize and direct disposal of same.
Authorize modification to the General Fund Whole Town 2003 budget to cover travel re-
imbursement.
Accept the resignation ofMelissa A. Carroll, Food Service Worker.
Set 8:00 p.m., June 17, 2003, Southold Town Hall, as the time and place for a Local Law
entitled "Amendment to Town Code Regarding Amendments to Zoning and Public Hearing
Notice Requirements".
Send the proposed Local Law entitled "Amendment to Town Code Regarding Amendments
to Zoning and Public Hearing Notice Requirements" to the Southold Town Planning Board
and the Suffolk County Department of Planning for their recommendations and reports.

Authorize and direct the Town Clerk to advertise for bids for the supply of physical fitness
stations for the Fishers Island Fitness Trails.
Accept the Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement with regard to the Southold
Comprehensive Implementation Strategy, direct the Town Clerk to file a Notice of
Complete Draft EIS and Notice of Public Hearing to appropriate parties, and set three
public hearings at Southold Town Hall as follows: June 19, 2003 at 6:30 p.m., June 23,
2003 at 4:30 p.m., and June 24, 2003 at 7:00 p.m.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to hire the firm of Nelson, Pope & Voorhis to
conduct an evaluation pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA)
to address the environmental issues pertinent to the construction of a new animal shelter.
Determine that "A Local Law in Relation to a Temporary MOratorium on the Issuance of
Approvals and/or Permits for the Parcels of Property in the Light Industrial Park/Planned
Office Park (LIO) Zoning District and the Light Industrial (LI) Zoning District in 'The
Church Lane Neighborhood and Immediate Area Surrounding the Town Landfill/Transfer
Station' "is classified as a Type II Action pursuant to the SEQRA Rules and Regulations.
Appoint Lori Hulse Montefusco, Esq. as part-time Assistant Town Attorney for Code
Enforcement and Justice Court Matters, ten hours per week.
Authorize and direct Supervisor Horton to hire the firm of Cleary Consulting to conduct an
evaluation pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) to address
the environmental issues pertinent to the proposed code changes relating to Amendments to
Zoning Code and Public Hearing Notice Requirements of the Code of the Town of
Southold.
Enact "A Local Law in Relation to a Temporary Moratorium on the Issuance of Approvals
and/or Permits for the Parcels of Property in the Light Industrial Park/Planned Office Park
(LIO) Zoning District and the Light Industrial (LI) Zoning District in 'The Church Lane
Neighborhood and Immediate Area Surrounding the Town Landfill/Transfer Station' ".
