2. VARIANCE. By resolution of the Board it was determined that

After investigation and inspection the Board finds that
Constantine King wants to paint the words "Bowl" and "Restaurant"
on the southerly roof of King's Lanes. The Board finds that
this is against the Ordinance and would create a public disturbance,
rather than be helpful to the public.
The Board finds that the public convenience and welfare and
justice will not be served and the legally established or permitted
use of neighborhood property and adjoining use districts will be
permanently or substantially injured and the spirit of the Ordinance
will not be observed.
Therefore, it was RESOLVED that Constantine King, 69 Further
Lane, Riverhead, New York, be denied permission to paint the words
"Bowl" and "Restaurant" on the southerly roof of King's Lanes, east
side Moore's Lane, Greenport, New York.

THE SPECIAL EXCEPTION IS REQUESTED BECAUSE I wish to paint a sign "BOWL"
on the Southerly roo~ ot the bot1ing alley bUilding, East side
ot Moores Lane, Greenport to replace the present letters "BOWL"
now on the top .~ the west end ot the building so that these
letters will be visible to traffic on the main

area,
also I would like to add the word restaurant under the
letters "BOWL" on the same roof.
I tee1 that this would be better than the other proposals
that tormer operators have made to the Board.
