Box 27 Mattituck, NY 11952 Dear Mr. Tamburello: Thank you for the cooperation during the fire inspection of Giancarlo's Pizza on August 18, 1987. The occupancy load of your establishment is 49. This figure is shown on the occupancy certificate which is to be posted in a conspicuous location in the public area of your establishment.~ During the inspection the following were noted and should be corrected as soon as possible. 1. There shall be no hardware on the rear exit door that will impede egress at any time. Hooks, bolts, bars, etc. are not permitted. The area directly outside the exit door shall be illuminated at night and kept clear of any materials including parked cars that would impede egress. 2. The exit path to the rear exit shall remain clear and free at all times. While the exit through the kitchen is not legal, in an emergency in the front of the restaurant, the rear door would most certainly be used and shall be kept ready. 3. Ail exit signs must be illuminated any time that the store is open to the public. 4. The hood system shall be inspected semi-annually. This system is due for inspection in September 1987. 5. Good housekeeping is an important part of fire prevention. The floor, walls, and ceiling shall be maintained free from grease and cooking films. Storage areas shall remain neat with particular attention given to storage in the vicinity of heat producing appliances.
