RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, 50705 Main Road, Southold,NY, is on the Town of Southold Registry of Historic
Landmarks, and
WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 56-7(b) of the Town Law(Landmarks Preservation Code) of the
Town of Southold, all proposals for material change/alteration must be reviewed and
granted a Certificate of Appropriateness by the Southold Town Historic Preservation
Commission prior to the issuance of a Building Permit,and,
WHEREAS, the applicants' architect,Anthony Portillo, submitted a proposal showing elevations
specifying windows to be installed on the subject single family dwelling; and
WHEREAS, the applicant's architect presented commissioners with an outline of the project during
public hearings on July 28,2022 and August 25, 2022; and
WHEREAS, a sample board received on August 23, 2022 was presented to show proposed windows to
be installed as Jeldwin 7/8" Siteline Double Hung Wood Windows further described as 5/8
inch Mutton Bar with OGEE; and,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission
determines that the proposed work detailed in the above referenced application and
depicted on Architectural Plans and Sample Board prepared by Anthony Portillo,
Architect(not dated),received on August 23, 2022 meets the criteria for approval under
Section 170-8 (A) of the Southold Town Code and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Commission approves the request for a Certificate of
Appropriateness, subject to approvals by all involved agencies; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that any deviation from the approved plans referenced above may
require further review from the commission.

Casement,Awning or Picture Windows,designed to be installed into
an existing window frame. Pocket windows may be installed from
either the exterior or interior. Exterior detail work is needed in both
installation types. Not all windows can be installed into every wall
I condition in all areas. Consult your local building department for
applicable building codes and regulations (particularly regarding
j minimum egress requirements). Local building code requirements
supersede recommended installation instructions. Areas such as
Florida and the Texas TDI region have different anchoring requirements
based on product certification.For information on specific products,
