NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the Southold Town Historic Preservation Commission determines that the proposed work detailed in the above referenced application meets the criteria for approval under Section 170-8 (A) of the Southold Town Code; and Certificate of Appropriateness, HPC,Heath, SCTM No. 1000-24-2-3 Page 2 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that any deviation from the approved alterations referenced above may require further review from the commission; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Commission approves the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness, subject to approvals by all involved agencies. Nearly every house on this block has an asphalt roof and we want to go back in kind with wood -which is undeniably historic. Is there a way to expedite this and not waste everyone's time, including yours? Can we strip the roof and prepare for whatever roof you approve? Really just want to put a historic wood roof back on this garage, as was the case since its existence.And eventually replace the siding with what has also been on the building since before any of us were born.
