Inc. 554 Post Road Darien, Conn. 06820 Dear Sir: On December 7, 1977 you applied for a permit for a swimming pool to be built for Mr. W.D. Campbell on Fishers Island. In June I spoke to one of your workman, stating I had no record of any permit having been issued. Somehow, your application did not come to my attention until now. Our Senior Building Inspector retired in January of this year and he had never issued a permit. Your application had been mixed with some older papers. In reviewing the application it indicates your proposed location is in the front yard. Swimming pools are not per- m~tted in the front or side yards. I therefore cannot issue a permit. You may now file an appeal of my decision to the Zoning Board of Appeals. I am enclosing the forms for the appeal. These papers must be filed with the Town Clerk by August 18, 1978 so it may be heard three weeks later. The fee is $15.00. Trusting that you will attend to enclosing of the pool to prevent young people from entering the pool unattended. All pools require a 4' fence with self closing and self latching gate.
