Final survey of property with accurate location of oil buildings, property lines, streets, and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Final approval of Health Dept. of water supply and sewerage disposal--(S-9 form or equal). 3. Approval of electrical installation from Board of Fire Underwriters. 4. Commercial buildings, Industrial buildings, Multiple Residences and similar buildings and installations, a certificate of Code compliance from the Architect or Engineer responsible for the building. 5. Submit Planning Board approval of completed site plan requirements where applicable. B. For existing buildings (prior to April 1957), Non-conforming uses, or buildings and "pre-existing" land uses: 1. Accurate survey of property showing all property lines, streets, buildings and unusual natural or topographic features. 2. Sworn statement of owner or previous owner as to use, occupancy and condition of buildings. 3. Terry Town of Southold Bldg. Dept. Southold, N. Y. 11971 Dear Mr. Terry, In regard to the recent violation that was placed on my home, I wish to state the following facts. This house was constructed in 1963 with a back porch. In 1972 this porch was in dire need of repair. The necessary repairs were made and I did not feel it was necessary to obtain a building permit to make repairs to an existing structure. Also, these repairs were made in the s,,mmer of 1972, and no work has been done since that date with the exception of painting. In addition, I feel tha% this violation is uncalled for an totally inapprQpriate to this situation because the only work that took place was repairs to an existing porch 5 years ago. I consider these repairs as necessary maintenance to my property; Just as any other repair work done to the exterior of your home. I am a seasonal resident, and would appreciate you directing all future cQrrespondence to my permanent residence which is as follows: 52 Renee Lane, Bardonia, N. Y. 1095~. Also, I would like to bring to your attention that if I had not received this violation by accident it would have r~mained tacked on my front door until the s,,mmer of "78". I await your reply; because I feel this is not a legitimate violation. Also, I will not take further action until I hear from you. Mr. Domenic Mangiamele 52 Renee Lane Bardonia, NY 10954 Re: Zoning Violation, Article XIV, Sec. 100-141 Dear Mr. Mangiamele: In reply to your letter of November 28, 1977, this is to advise that it was necessary in 1972 to obtain a Building Permit for the deck you added as a replacement to rear porch of your home on Wells Road, Laurel, N.Y. Our records show that in 1968 a deck was not in existence. Since this deck addition replaced a porch as a larger structure to your dwelling, a Building Permit was in order. Had this come to the attention of this department at the time you made this addition you would have been notified accordingly. Keep in mind that whenever you add on to an existing building or construct an additional structure on a piece of property in any district within the Town of Southold, New York, a Building Permit is required. a~ enclosing herewith an instruction sheet for applications left along with violation notice.
