Albertson at Greenport, N.Y. on Tuesday, November 28, 1961 at 3:00 P.M. with the following present: Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; Justices Tuthill and Clark; Town Attorney Tasker; Supt. of-Highways Price and Town Clerk Richmond. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Justice Tuthill: RESOLVED: That the minutes of Nov. 9, 1961, be and they hereby are duly approved. Vote of Town Board: Ayes- Supervisor Albertson; Councilmen Demarest and Grathwohl; JuStices Tuthill and Clark. Moved by Councilman Demarest; seconded by Councilman Grathwohl; RESOLVED: That the minutes of a Special Meeting on Nov. 21, 1961, be and they~are hereby duly approved. Moved by Justice Clark; second~d~by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, Henry and Stella Smith have applied to the Town Board to take over as a Town Highway/~ertain road at Indian Neck, Peconic, N.Y. to be known as Robinson Lane, NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That this application ~or a highway dedication be turned over to the Southold Town Planning Board for its official reco~endation and report. Albertson be and he hereby is autho~ ized to investigate the possibility of the purchase of the property of MrS. Alice Thompson adjoining the present pDoperty of the Town of Sou%h- old at Southold. Albertson be and he hereby is 'author- ized to enter into a contract with the Long Island Lighting Company for a flat rate of $7.40 per month to operate the traffic light, co~ner of New Suffolk Avenue and 5th Street, New Suffolk, N.Y. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; RESOLVED: That Bond No. 73S-680, issued by the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company in the name of'Chester M. Dickerson, Receiver of Taxes, in the sum $50,000.00 be and the same is hereby approved as to its form, manner of execution and sufficiency of sureties therein. Moved by Justice Clark; seconded by Councilman Demarest; WHEREAS, the Police-other Expense Fund P20-30 in the Annual Budget for the current fiscal year exceeds an appropriation of $21,200.001 and WHEREAS, of such sum appropriated $12,311.63 remains unexpended to date,'~and WHEREAS, after due allowance for stated claims and fiscal expenditures chargeable against such appropriation or account, there ~is an ~nexpended balance against appropriation or'account of $12,311.63, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That $2300.00 of said unexpended balance be and the same is transferred to other Insurance and Bonds Account P80-35 and that the amount heretofore appropriated for said purposes be an~ the same hereby is increased in the amount of $23~00.00. Anrig; Police Chief (Constable) of the Town of Sou~hold, will attain the age of seventy (70) years on January 5, 1962, and WHEREAS, said Otto L. Anrig has requested that the Town Board approve of his continuance in service for a period of one year from Dec. 30, 1961, and WHEREAS, this Board believes that it would be in the best interest of the Town of Southold that the said Otto L. Anrig continue in service for an additfonal year commencing Dec. 31, 1961, NOW, TBIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That this Board pursuant to the provisions of se~tiOh 70 of the Retirement and Social Security Law approve of the in service of Otto L. A letter was received from the Suffolk County Civil Service Committee, advising the Town that work classification survey would be undertaken.by the Suffolk County Civil Service commission about current information on Town Jobs. A letter was received from State C~nservation Department advising the Town of the departments position in transferring small escallops within the Towns of Suffolk County. The Highway Supt. brought to the attention of the Town Board the fact that certain properties adjacent to the Highway Buildings at Peconic may be available for purchase.
