The Board of Trustees reviewed your request to remove the four small trees (bushes) located adjacent to your property line which are within 100' of the wetlands, as reviewed and seen by Trustee A Nicholas Krupski. The Board of Trustees determined that these four trees/bushes may be removed at this time and replanted with native vegetation. No permit will be required in order to perform this work. Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office. This is not a determination from any other agency. If you have any questions, please call our office at (631) 765-1892. Sincerely, Glenn Goldsmith President, Board of Trustees GG/dd Glenn Goldsmith, President Town Hall Annex A. Nick has already approved the removal of the stumps, he did so verbally with me when he and I walked the property together(and evidently with Jonathan Shipman as well), but I just wanted to come back per Steve's request to make sure that you had this for your files. I don't have Jonathan Shipman's email address so I can't CC him. Thanks! Just ask for permission to removal these stumps that are within the 100'. They are from trees that were removed years ago by previous owner. Mention that Jonathan Shipman is doing the work. Box 1179 Southold, NY 11971 (631)765-1892 Hi Diane... As requested, this letter confirms our motivation to remove four small trees(I am assuming trees, though technically they may be bushes?)just inside the 100' line, adjacent to the property line shared with 580 Broadwaters Road, at our property at 530 Broadwaters Road, Cutchogue. The four trees in question are shown in the image we emailed to your offices on Tuesday, July 12th at 10pm. The reason for the removal is so we can replace them with a planting that is hardier and that will provide a more attractive landscaped setting over time. By dint of this letter, I am confirming that the town has the approval to go onto the property to review the area in question. For your records, our mailing address is: Stephen Maharam 323 Pacific Street Brooklyn, NY 11201 Also, my cell phone should you need it is 516.906.0656. Thank you for your help with this matter. My sincere apologies if I am the one who has caused that confusion. The attached photo shows some scraggly little trees(?) that we would like to remove. They are just within the 100' line so that is why we are asking for your guidance. If you are okay with the removal, please confirm accordingly. If you would like to come see them in person and require a "tree letter"from us, is it possible for you to please reply with an example that we can use for the submission? We're eager to get going on this so any feedback you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! I'm sure Steve is already well aware, but just to reconfirm, anything that happens within 100 feet of the line on the protected area of the property that is currently flagged with blue ribbons needs to be brought to your attention before we do it. Please correct me if I am wrong...if it's simple removal (e.g. dead bushes, trees, stumps, etc.)within the 100 foot j section, photos of everything we want to remove emailed to you for approval should do the trick...yes? 1 I Remind me, I know that you said you want to see a landscaping plan if we have it in mind to do a bigger project(we I don't)...for just the planting of native bushes for privacy, a few of which might cross into the 100 foot section, will some detail in that same email suffice? We would include photos/drawing of the location (it will be up that right side of the property that you and I talked about specifically) and confirm the type of plants we would be using. i Thanks again! i i I i Stephen Maharam I i stephen maharam 1 !
