The minutes for the November 7, 2019 meeting were approved.
Introduction:
All applicants will give a presentation consisting of drawings, exterior materials samples and other
information required by the Planning Department to the Committee. The Committee will ask questions
and make suggestions as part of a general discussion with each applicant. Final recommendations from
the ARC will be presented to the Planning Board in the ARC Meeting Minutes, and be made part of the
Planning file for that application. The Planning Board will consider these recommendations, together
with all comments from other agencies, and provide the applicant with a comprehensive written list of
its requested revisions.
New Application:
0 OREGON ROAD STORAGE SCTM#1000-83-3-5.3
Owner Marty Kosmynka and Town Planner Brian Cummings presented the proposed construction of a
±69,360 square foot self-storage facility, and includes the construction of six(6) storage buildings; three
12,000 square foot one-story buildings,two (2) 11,880 square foot one-story buildings, and one 9.600
square foot one-story building. Also included is the conversion of an existing 797 square foot garage to
an office, an existing dwelling to remain and 20 proposed parking stalls all on 5.7 acres in the Light
Industrial Zoning District. Located: 11900 Oregon Road, Cutchogue
The Architectural Review Committee reviewed the proposed project and is approving this application
except for the following comment:
The front yard landscape buffer should have minimal grass lawn.The new trees should not be a mono-
culture. More abundant and diverse selection of native trees should be planted.These should include
both deciduous and conifer, such as red and white oak, wild black cherry, poplar, spruce, beech and
black walnut. See attached suggested plant list for additional listings.
