HomeMy WebLinkAboutLP-06/28/2022 LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. This Regular Meeting was held via the Zoom online platform. The public had access to view and listen to the meeting as it was happening via Zoom. If no access to a computer or smartphone, there was an option to listen in via telephone. Comments from the public may not be solicited nor received without an appointment. It is expected that the Committee will enter into Executive Session* at some point after opening the Regular Meeting for the purpose of discussing applications regarding proposed acquisitions of real property where publicity would substantially affect the value thereof. Committee Minutes and Administration Acceptance of LPC meeting minutes: MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to accept the 5/17/2022 LPC meeting minutes. Motion carried: 4/0 with 2 abstentions (EK, JS) MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by John Simicich, to accept the 6/14/2022 LPC meeting minutes. Motion carried: 4/0 with 2 abstentions (WL, SM) Next Regular LPC Meeting Date The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2022and will be held via the Zoom online platform. Inquiries for Uses or Structures on Preserved Property Richard Principi Jr. Further North Farm LLC SCTM# 1000-108.-4-1.3 and 1.4 Property subject to Town PDR: Review of 6/22/22 information presented by landowner LPC members reviewed 6/22/22 e-mail from Melissa Principi, in which she outlined status of the site. LPC members decided to conduct a site visit and to continue discuss at the next meeting after the site visit. General Preservation None Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications EXECUTIVE SESSION- Proposed Acquisitions of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof MOTION made by Anne Murray, seconded by Sam McCullough, to enter into EXECUTIVE SESSION Proposed Acquisitions of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof Motion carried: 4/0 The LPC members entered into EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:10 p.m. Meeting locked. o Melissa Spiro, Land Preservation Coordinator- Inquiries, new applications, appraisals and current applications MOTION made by Anne Murray, seconded by Eric Keil, to exit EXECUTIVE SESSION. Motion carried: 6/0 EXECUTIVE SESSION ENDED at 8:37 p.m. Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications - OPEN SESSION MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray: To recommend that the Town extend a purchase offer to the landowner, as discussed while in Executive Session, for purchase of a certain parcel of land known as Project 2022-6A, at a price supported by the Page 2 of 3 authorized appraisal. The proposed offer is a recommendation to the Town Board and subject to the Town to proceed. The offer letter to the landowner will be valid for 30 days. Motion carried: 6/0 MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Eric Keil: To recommend that the Town extend a proposed purchase offer at a per acre value supported by the orized appraisal, as discussed while in Executive Session, for a development rights easement acquisition on a certain parcel of land known as Project 2022-5A. n to proceed. The offer letter to the landowner will be valid for 30 days. Motion carried: 6/0 Adjournment: MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by Anne Murray, to adjourn the meeting.
