LAND PRESERVATION COMMITTEE MEETING
Minutes & Discussion Notes from Meeting held
Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 7:00 p.m.
This Regular Meeting was held via the Zoom online platform.
The public had access to view and listen to the meeting as it was happening via Zoom. If no access to a
computer or smartphone, there was an option to listen in via telephone.
Comments from the public may not be solicited nor received without an appointment. It is expected that the
Committee will enter into Executive Session* at some point after opening the Regular Meeting for the purpose of
discussing applications regarding proposed acquisitions of real property where publicity would substantially
affect the value thereof. The public is not allowed to attend, view, or listen to Executive Session.

MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray, to accept the 5/17/2022 LPC meeting
minutes.
Motion carried: 4/0 with 2 abstentions (EK, JS)
MOTION made by Eric Keil, seconded by John Simicich, to accept the 6/14/2022 LPC meeting
minutes.
Motion carried: 4/0 with 2 abstentions (WL, SM)
Next Regular LPC Meeting Date
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2022and will be held via the Zoom online
platform.

Property subject to Town PDR: Review of 6/22/22 information presented by landowner
LPC members reviewed 6/22/22 e-mail from Melissa Principi, in which she outlined status of the site.
LPC members decided to conduct a site visit and to continue discuss at the next meeting after the site
visit.

Proposed Acquisitions of Real Property Where Publicity Would Substantially Affect the Value Thereof

The LPC members entered into EXECUTIVE SESSION at 7:10 p.m. Meeting locked.

Land Preservation Applications & Potential Applications - OPEN SESSION
MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Anne Murray:
To recommend that the Town extend a purchase offer to the landowner, as discussed while in Executive
Session, for purchase of a certain parcel of land known as Project 2022-6A, at a price supported by the

authorized appraisal. The proposed offer is a recommendation to the Town Board and subject to
the Town to proceed. The offer letter to the landowner will be valid for 30 days.

MOTION made by Sam McCullough, seconded by Eric Keil:
To recommend that the Town extend a proposed purchase offer at a per acre value supported by the
orized appraisal, as discussed while in Executive Session, for a development rights
easement acquisition on a certain parcel of land known as Project 2022-5A.
