The Board of Trustees reviewed your request to remove/trim the trees that are near the water, as reviewed and seen by Trustee A Nicholas Krupski. The Board of Trustees determined that: It is permissible to trim back the tree closest to the bridge with the forked limb (as shown in photograph); the large tree which is "fully leaned out" over the wetland can be removed; the remainder of the trees and vegetation are to remain. Any other activity within 100' of the wetland boundary requires a permit from this office. This is not a determination from any other agency. If you have any questions, please call our office at (631) 765-1892. Sincerely, 44f v l a,,, Glenn Goldsmith President, Board of Trustees GG/dd Glenn Goldsmith,President %® S®(J Town Hall Annex A. When/if the trees come down as a result of wisteria strangulation or disease it will be my responsibility to remove debris from the water, which will be much more difficult task than by land. 2. Many kayakers use this scenic route to paddle from Wunneweta Pond to the lagoon, and then to Cutchogue Harbor. I believe the dead trees or branches are a liability if they fall during one of these excursions. I also do not want to be responsible for damage to the private bridge which crosses the creek. We have no issues with having a T of S inspector visit the property to evaluate the situation. FYI-every year we have attempted to rid the area from wisteria,to no avail.
