Subject: Strong’s Water Club Decibel Readings from Saturday 7.16.22
Good Day Jill and Denis,
Nicole Evers arranged with Audrey Watson to allow us to come to her house on Saturday evening 7-16-22 to compare
decibel readings while our music was playing from 6 to 9 pm.
You can see below that the decibel readings were 3.5 decibels lower at her house than at our property line. Both well
within town code. Dan our employee who did the readings showed these to Ms Watson. She seemed appreciative.
Nicole also had a pleasant conversation with another neighbor across the creek Mr Eric McClure , she gave her cell
number to him and asked him to call her if he has any concerns. Nicole will also share the decibel the readings
information with him.
Our Team monitors the decibel readings consistently to be sure we are in compliance , we now know that the readings
will be 3.5 decibels lower at our neighbors than on our property line.
Hope that helps answer any questions, if there is anything else we can do please let us know.
Thank You,
Jeff Strong

Jeff,
Attached please find the two decibel readings from Saturday night. One was taken at Strong’s Water
Club and the other at Audrey Watsons house directly across the creek. The data shows us that the
decibel reading was lower at Audrey house then at Strong’s Water Club and all well within decibel limits.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Subject: Noise from Strong's Water Club/Windamere
Just a quick follow-up. It’s now 10:20 on Sunday night, and there’s still loud electronic music going strong, including
thumping bass lines that penetrate our windows and walls. No one answers the phones there, and the Southold Town
Police say they’ll send an officer “when someone’s available.” This is nuts.
==========================================
Hello.
I’m writing to you as Strong’s Water Club’s “DJ Brunch” gets underway for the second consecutive Sunday, and for at
least the third time this year, with the thump-thump of its electronic bass penetrating our double-paned windows. This
after we endured four hours yesterday of loud live music, followed by two hours of more electronic DJ, preceded by
three hours of live music Friday followed by another two hours of loud canned music. All that plus endless hours of their
radio droning on pretty much every day. I invite any of you to come by Westview Drive in Mattituck anytime this is going
on to let me know if you think the volume of sound being pumped into a residential neighborhood is acceptable. We
can’t open the windows or use our yard without having to listen to this constant noise, and even tightly shut windows
and air conditioning and fans can’t drown it out completely. We are forced to live with this for half the year, that half
being the months when we would like to have our windows open. We and our neighbors have been begging the Town to
take action for years. Please do something.
1
Sincerely,
Eric McClure
